Oshodi Residents Hit The Streets In Protest, Demand Prepaid Meters
Residents of Oshodi community, Lagos Mainland and environs have taken the demand for prepaid meters in the area to another level after the concerned residents hit the streets I protest.
The affected areas which include Mafoluku, Shogunle and Ladipo area of Lagos Mainland had the residents protesting in resistance to the outrageous bills served the communities.
During the protest, the residents demanded that the management of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company should install prepaid meters in their homes without further delay.
According to TVC News, the protesting residents carried placards with various inscriptions stressing that they will henceforth pay two thousand naira per meter until their demands are met.
Also, angry residents added that there will be no disconnection of electricity from either poles or transformers in the locality until their demands are met.
